A Lost Cause

Starting at a young age now I see. Too many kids are growing up with this idea that your car’s audio system is equal to how cool you are. This crosses over into why white people are funny too. Go to any small town in the Midwest and you’ll see 16 year old wiggers driving around with their trunks and license plates rattling on their used cars. You just look retarded.

For some reason every Friday afternoon I remember this video, in particular the remix above. When I was in college “Woo Woo” became a catch phrase. You used it when you walked in the door on Friday after your last class. You used it when something cool happened. You used it to get someone’s attention. Here I am, long since graduated from college and I still find myself saying “Woo Woo!” Thanks Bubb Rubb.

Here is the original video if you’ve never seen it:

Here we have David Banner’s view on people “hatin on da south.” The problem is that HipHop isn’t supposed to be about money, but thats ALL the south is about. Kicking out repetitive song after repetitive song. Killing hiphop by doing the exact same thing over and over again. Dumbing down hiphop. It has become just as repetitive as country music. You know how people say all you need to do to write a country song is to mention your dog, your truck, being drunk, and women. In the dirty south all you have to do is spit about bitches, rims, money, drugs, and cars.

Here is a message to David Banner and anyone else in the south that doesn’t get it:

HipHop is waiting patiently for it’s Smells Like Teen Spirit to come in and change the game. No artist(s) from the south are even coming close to it other than maybe Outkast. Hiphop is waiting guys, we are waiting. Stop giving us shit like Soulja Boy, he isn’t brining the Smells Like Teen Spirit. He just sounds like he has a mouthful of food while he is on the mic.

Obama Not Black Enough?

I keep seeing in the news where people are questioning if Barak Obama is black enough for the White House.  What kind of stupid ignorant ass shit is that?  The man is black!  Is he supposed to act a certain way because he is black?  Is he supposed to think a certain way because he is black?  When are people going to wake up and realize that you have no control over your race. skin color, or where you were born?  What does he need to do in order to be more black?

“Rev Jesse Jackson accused Mr Obama of “acting like he’s white” in his response to a civil-rights controversy in the southern state of Louisiana.”

Is it considered “acting white” when you don’t play the race card every 5 seconds?

I guess BET played this video and some people are pissed off because of it, but it seems pretty on point to me. Good messages, presented in the standard hiphop video formula. Props to BET for running it. I have a little more respect for them now.

The creators were even on CNN talking about it.

What you know about that?

There goes another one.  Rapper TI was arrested yesterday, charged with two felonies.  They were possession of three unregistered machine guns and two silencers, and possession of firearms by a convicted felon.  I know he has been pretty successful with his career, but looking at his past you can see that he hasn’t been a successful criminal.  WTF are you doing TI?  Or should I say TIP?  Here is a TIP for you:

When you are at a point in your career when you are about to attend an awards show, where you won 2 awards, there isn’t any reason to commit any crimes.  Common sense.  What you know about that?  I know all about that.
